Whenever I had a particularly knotty work problem I knew there was one person who would help me solve it. We were not supposed to ‘bother’ Rich but I always did because he never minded a challenge. Having the same sense of humour, we shared much amusement on our way to never being defeated. I’ll always consider it a privilege and a delight to have known Rich: a first class colleague and a great mate.
